Too much screen time

November 15, 2015

Another week has gone by, and I’ve spent most of my time in front of the computer. Actually, I don’t think I’ve spent this much time coding in a long time. On Monday I was chatting with Johan about random stuff, when we came up with the idea about building a developer blog, where we both, and a couple of other developers, would blog regularly about random things concerning programming, and Nordic Devs was born.

Granted, we haven’t gotten that far with the blog yet. I decided to try Jekyll for once, after multiple people have been talking about its awesomeness (Carlos, Dennis and Tommie), I couldn’t really dismiss the chance.

At first I was pretty impressed, but later on I noticed a lot of inherent problems with the platform. Most of them can be fixed by using plugins, but then you won’t be able to host it on github, which defeats the purpose (one of the most important thing about this blog is that the maintenance must be kept at a really low level).

Anyway, I’ve got a lot of things left to do on that thing, and so, I’m guessing I’ll spend most of next week on it as well.

Family in town

We had the pleasure of hanging out with my sister on Thursday, she was here on a business trip, so me and Paulina snagged her for an evening dinner, sadly, she had to leave pretty early on Friday. But it was nice catching up with her.

And that’s it for this week. No photos, not much to say. Writer’s block, or whatever.
