Final countdown

March 15, 2015

The final countdown has begun. In less than a week I’ll be leaving Sweden for Finland. My last weekend in Stockholm.

We had early on decided that we’d spend the weekend cleaning. Sadly, I woke up in the middle of the night between Friday and Saturday sick to my stomach. I spent Saturday basically just feeling sorry for myself.

Come Sunday morning, woke up, and felt a lot better. We started off with packing up our own stuff, then vacuuming, washing the floors, cleaning the windows, etc. We also moved back all the furniture the way they were when we moved in here two years ago. Two years. Two years in a furnished apartment. Don’t get me wrong, we had some great luck getting an apartment, but two years in a furnished apartment has been a bit too much.

When we moved to Sweden we had two suitcases with clothes and two backpacks with other things. Now, 2 years and 7 months, we’ve got a bit more stuff than I care to admit. But it ended up being 9 boxes and 3 suitcases and a couple of backpacks.

In all honesty, most of the boxes are filled with Paulina’s books. I’ve mostly built on my camera gear.

Anyway, since I don’t have anything interesting to say this week, how about you read some of my older posts, like my last post from my apartment in Vaasa? Or what I did the first day in Stockholm back in July, 2012?

Next week this time around, I’ll be sitting in our new apartment; which is non-furnished. I’m not really sure if I’ll have any internet, so my next week’s update is probably going to be late. So in the meanwhile, when you’re all sitting around waiting for my oh so interesting blog posts, play a game of snake, my record so far is 140 points, beat me!
